LEATHER COLLECTION

Our shop is based in the Azuero Peninsula of Panama, which is known for its cattle ranching. Leather is an abundant local resource, but Azuero leather is thick and unrefined - marked with brands, ticks and barbed wire. It is strong, weather resistant and every hide tells a story. We use these unique qualities of the leather as assets, and instead of trying to hide or refine this tough material, we work that character into the design. The texture and brands of local farmers are on proud display and it is tanned by hand in a local open-air workshop - as a result, no two pieces in this collection are ever the same.

CROSS STITCH AND WOVEN CHAIR

Teak or oak wood with clear teak oil finish and leather straps. Inspired by the chairs found at roadside restaurants in the province of Los Santos, Panama. We love the cowboy spirit that these chairs represent, and only changed the proportions and added leather detail.

This glazing jack is the only machine at the local tannery in Guararé, Panama, and has been going strong since the 1950’s.

LEATHER STRAP Club CHAIR and sofa

Teak wood with clear teak oil finish and leather straps. With deep seats and clean lines, this club furniture is robust and comfortable, ideal for indoor/outdoor spaces.

CROSS STITCH DAY BED

Each hide is hand selected and meticulously placed to feature the unique branding of the leather. The panels are hand-stitched in our shop to form the arm panels of this daybed that is as distinctive as it is comfortable.

Leather Panel SOFA

Teak wood and leather, finished with clear teak oil. The clean lines of this sofa are softened by seamless panels of thick Azuero leather for a sleek modern sofa with a story to tell.
